day 3 of carrying the banner

Ok I am so over carrying the banner. It is not a fine life and I don't feel as free as a fish. I have lost my good attitude about it because I have realized that I am leaving my house at 6:45 a.m., to have the paper delivered by 7:30 which is ridiculous.

Today I didn't even get to school on time, because I was dealing with the mouse issue* and a guy was waiting by the empty NY Times holder, just waiting for the paper. Really? Really? He had to be waiting?

Well only 2 more days of this torture, but at least today I remembered scissors.

*mouse issue with have to be blogged about at another time when the issue isn't as traumatic as it is now.

carrying the banner

It's a fine life, carrying the banner through it all. I'm as free as fishes. I goes where I wishes. It's a fine life.

If you don't speak Newsies let me explain, (and then go get the movie, because you are missing out on Christian Bale singing and dancing, and does anything get better then that? I think not). I am on day 2 of delivering the New York Times, to the students of the Brimhall building. This means me getting up at the crack of dawn to deliver the headlines to the people (Because some people still read print?). I am doing it because it works as a fund raiser for SPJ (Society of Professional Journalist, yes I am a member and a professional one at that) and it sure beats washing dishes.

My newspapers are cheap, they are less then two for a penny, and Weasel, doesn't make me eat them after, I get to recycle them. Even with the papes being free I had 40 papes left over. I know I am no Jake Kelley yet but by the end of the week I am hoping. Maybe the headlines can help me, I just need a good assassination, an earthquake or a war, but hopefully not a crooked politician, because, stupid, that ain't news no more!
