Life Unexpected

Ok I have now watch two episodes of Life Unexpected and the verdict is... that I like it and will continue watching it. It is old school WB, that is all about relationships and not about being a rich privileged teen like most of the shows on the CW now. It also probably feels WBish is because two of the four main characters have been on big WB shows, Dawson's Creek (Kerr Smith, the boyfriend to Lux's mom) and Roswell (Shiri Appleby, the mom to Lux). And Kristoffer Polaha (the dad to Lux) was actually on one episode of Roswell. But I just want to point out that was not was witty as Gilmore Girls and is doesn't have the corky characters that Gilmore Girls had, so in my opinion it is not like Gilmore Girls at all so let's not try to ruin the good name of Gilmore Girls. And comparing it to Juno, where did that come from? The only thing I can think of is that Juno has a mom adopting a baby, and in Life Unexpected, Lux (the main character) did not get adopted. But who ever did the marketing it worked because I liked both of those and I ended up watching the show and liking it. So I will watch it now every Monday.

On My Repeat... Need You Now

I haven't ever really listened to any of Lady Antebellum's music, but this song is AMAZING!!! I can't stop listening to it iTunes says that I have listened to it 45 times, and then probably more on my iPod. I a definitely a fan of Lady Antebellum now, and everyone should buy their new CD that came out on Jan. 26th.

Going To Try... Life Unexpected

So all through the Golden Globes were the commercials for Life Unexpected, it didn't look too interesting but then everyone keeps saying that it is the new "it" show on the CW and that it is like Gilmore Girls and I loved Gilmore Girls. But Gilmore Girls was great because of the fast talking and the witty writing, but it was also the actors that worked so well together and that there were such funny characters. And I am just not sure if this show can do that, but I am will to give it a chance so I have set my DVR to record it and will let you all know if it lives up to Gilmore Girls (which I am sure it won't) but I won't judge until I see it.

Golden Globes

WOW... the Golden Globes were great. It has been a long time since I have sat down and watched an award show all the way through. But Ricky Gervais was the host and I couldn't miss that. And SANDRA BULLOCK was nominated twice for The Blind Side and The Proposal, and WON for The Blind Side. The reason I love Sandra is because she is such a down to earth, funny person that I would love to have as my best friend. I tried to find the funny picture of her as she posed for Ryan Seacrest, but it is no where yet so this one will have to do. I also loved these people that won Meryl Streep for Julia Child, Robert Downey Jr. for Sherlock Holmes, and Drew Barrymore. Love that Glee won for best comedy. I also loved Paul McCartney, Kristen Bell, Chase Crawford, Jennifer Garner and Lauren Graham as presenters.

If you did not watch it go back and watch a recap because there were funny moments, and great dresses!!!

Seen It...The Lovely Bones

I saw The Lovely Bones last night, and I liked it. It was creepy and then made you think about what happens when you die. But the most disturbing thing was that Stanley Tucci was the creepy bad guy, and he was really good at it. I love Stanley Tucci, he was amazing in Julie and Julia, he was just so funny. I guess he did a good enough job that he was nominated for a Golden Globe for supporting actor, but didn't win, but he was nominated because he was creepy and has never been seen as that before and was convincing of that fact. Just so so creepy.

Seen It... All About Steve

Sandra Bullock has been my favorite actor since I saw While You Were Sleeping, when I was 9, and I watched it over and over again until I ruined the VHS. But for some reason it has taken me an unusually long time to see this movie, probably because so many people hated it and they pushed back the release date and everything else. But I finally saw it the other day and I loved it. Bullock was funny, it had a good message. She didn't end up with Steve but that was fine because he finally realized that she was someone special, and that she should change for anyone. So all of you that haven't seen it then it is time to rent it and see a feel good movie about true friendship and love.

A Different Happy New Year

So It has been 2010 for 2 hours and I am already seeing many different things about this year then last, which I am not sure is good or bad.

The first thing that was different in this new year is that we did not have a pinata at our party. This is because we don't have any little kids any more to break it, and each year we usually just let Lauren, who should have become a professional pinata breaker, break it to pieces.

The other differences are that my best friend has a little baby girl, she is three weeks old. This is new and different. And then my other best friend is serving a mission for the LDS church in Minnesota which she is different for her.

Then I looked at my differences and there are none in my life. I still work at the Gap and go to school at BYU. I don't have a new baby (well none that I know of) and I am currently not serving a mission. So this year I have decided, not as a resolution because I read somewhere that New Year's resolutions last about 6 weeks before people quit them, that I will make some different in my life. I am not sure what my different will be but I will let you know as soon as I decided.
