Reading... Burned

I am currently reading Burned, which is like #99 of the House of Night series, no I actually is only #6. But anyway it is a good series about teen vampires, but they are darker then Twilight vampires and in my opinion much cooler. This one has by far been my favorite book in the series. I like everyones POV and then I love Stevie Rae and the Raven Mockers relationship (I cannot get enough of it). Let me know if anyone else had read it.

This Is.. To New Beginnings

As the two of you, that read this blog might notice, I have changed the title of my blog to This Is... My So-Called Life, instead of This Is... The Life of a Gap Manager.

I have changed the title because my life has changed so I felt it only right to change my title. I decided to step down from being a manger from Gap to focus on school so that I can graduate in two years. Making my time at BYU total to seven years, and no I not graduating with a masters just a bachelors. Thus is the reason I am stepping down from Gap.

So this is to new beginnings of a lot of homework, papers, tests and only working 20 hours a week and taking a huge pay cut at work.

this is to... friends

I am so blessed that I have so many good friends. And most of those friends have come from working at the Gap. I have a wide age range of friends some that are older then my parents, some that could be my parents, and some that are big sister age, and then some that are around my age. And I love and am grateful for them all. I love that they are different ages and at different stages in life. I hope that everyone can have as many friends as me and I hope that I can continue to have so many amazing people in my life!

this is to change

it has been a weekend of change and sameness. In my life more things couldn't have been more different. I am going back to school full time, which means I am not going to be working full time. I don't have my great boss to support me in it but instead have a great old boss and friend that supports me in my decision. That is life but work has stayed the same. It was Gap's Friends and Family this weekend and people still came to buy a pocket tee and jeans for a discount. They have no idea the changes that are happening with the people that ring up there clothes, (which is a good thing, it means I am doing my job). I bought bagels in honor of Andrea who would always bring in bagels on Saturday morning of G&G. So it would feel the same to me but really me knowing there is a time of change coming and it might be big and I don't really know what will happen. I could go into this time scared, but I have decided that I will look towards the future with excitement of a new journey that lays ahead of me.

clean teeth on the go

I have been seeing this things at the store for a while now and couldn't resist trying them. They are called Wisp, by Colgate.

They are suppose to be like mini toothbrushes but without the toothpaste and the water, so when you brush there is this liquid filled ball that releases a nice minty freshness into your mouth. This looked amazing to me because I have been wanting something like this since the Brush-Ups are no longer available. (remember their great commercials it made me want to ride a subway at that moment while I was brushing my teeth with a Brush-Ups)

So I bought a little pack of the wintergreen wisps for only $1.99 at Target and loved them. They do exactly what they said they would they removed the food from my teeth and made my breath fresh without the use of water. I also love that they are small enough to carry in my purse and it is great when I eat out and have to be back to work and just need a cleaner mouth to talk to all my customers. Because who wants to buy jeans from a girl who's breath smells like garlic? (not me, that is for sure). But with the Wisps I will never have to have bad breath again!

shoes under... not what i saw on tv

At 2:50 am in the morning there is not much on to watch, but infomercials, which become mesmerizing. Once you watch one you can’t seem to stop watching. I get addicted to watching ladies with too much makeup and big hair trying to sell you stuff that you don’t need but some how you think you need after watching big haired lady talking about organizing your closet with this amazing product for only $9.99 for three months plus shipping and handing.

Well I bought one of those Seen-On-TV items that they sell at stores like the Seen-on-TV store and Bed, Bath, and Beyond.

(see it looks great! like it has sides that stand up and a bottom that doesn't flop)

I bought the Shoes Under item. It was going to be amazing because you could store 12 pairs of shoes in it and store it under your bed and it had a clear plastic top so you can see the shoes. So as I buy it at Bed, Beth and Beyond I open up the box which is small and realize this might not be as great as the lady with a lot of eyeliner said so. Because it has no bottom that keeps it flat and the clear plastic top is for the whole thing and not the just on one side.

(See not so great as it was in the picture or on TV)

So that got me thinking do I really like this? Is this worth the $9.99? Well I haven’t quite decided. I like that it holds all me shoes underneath my bed. But there is no support system for the bottom of it so if you take out a pair of shoes and then maybe another then try to push it back under your bed it goes all scrunchy and doesn’t move under. So I am clearly not sure if I want to keep it or return it. Because what else is out there that can hold all my shoes under my bed?
